Book Review

Coach Traub’s easy-to-read book introduces you to Mark, who happens to be walking up to bat in the last inning of a crucial "Super Regional" baseball game with two outs and the bases loaded. The question "Is he prepared?" is followed with a description of how to prepare your mental game for any singular moment of performance. Part 1 includes the introductory concepts of control, awareness, and discipline. Part 2 delves deeply into how to create your best attitude for what you want to accomplish. Parts 3-5 are a chronological progression on game day of the skills needed before the performance (Part 3 - APPROACH), during performance (Part 4 - FOCUS), and after performance (Part 5 - RESPONSE).

In the conclusion, we get a description of all the great things that Mark has done to prepare himself for this moment. So does he succeed? Does he get the game winning hit? Read the book and you might find out!
